Manager of Software Engineering, API Marketplace

What you'll do

• Provide daily guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers on technical tasks.
• Coach engineers on the practical and responsible use of AI tools, agents, and models.
• Manage day-to-day implementation activities while ensuring adherence to compliance standards and business requirements.
• Anticipate cross-team dependencies to ensure products are delivered on time and meet business goals.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and SDLC automation to improve delivery speed and quality.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure work meets established service level agreements.
• Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains to support capacity unlock initiatives and automation value.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within a domain of expertise.
• Experience leading multiple teams to achieve goals aligned with strategic initiatives and regulatory timelines.
• Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience in agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, IT systems, and practical cloud native experience.
• Deep expertise in core Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, MQ, Oracle, Postgres, Kafka, and Apache Iceberg.
• Experience with Selenium for test automation and ability to debug complex systems independently.
• Experience leading responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and understanding responsible AI use.
• Preferred working at code level.
• Preferred building skills and agent tooling for AI workstreams.
• Preferred exposure to full software development lifecycle in large-scale systems, preferably within the financial industry.
