The Manager, GRC joins the Technology Risk & Controls team within Security to lead second line of defense advisory coverage across critical technology and security domains. This role involves managing and coaching a team of analysts while providing advisory coverage for areas including disaster recovery, resiliency, SDLC, artificial intelligence, identity and access management, and supply chain. Key responsibilities include assessing risk exposure, evaluating control effectiveness, and partnering with engineering teams to identify remediation needs. The position requires translating audit findings and regulatory expectations into actionable improvements while communicating quantitative and qualitative risk tradeoffs to leadership. Candidates must possess experience in technology risk, IT controls, cybersecurity risk, or compliance, with specific skills in risk management, control design, governance documentation, and the responsible use of generative AI.
Lead second line advisory coverage for key technology and security domains to assess risk exposure and control effectiveness.
Partner with engineering teams to identify necessary controls, remediations, and governance improvements.
Review and challenge the design of new and existing controls to ensure they are scalable and regulatory-compliant.
Translate audit findings and regulatory expectations into actionable improvements for the technology control environment.
Calculate inherent and residual risks with subject matter experts to facilitate risk treatment decisions.
Communicate quantitative and qualitative risk tradeoffs to leadership to support prioritization and reporting.
Build, grow, and coach a team of technology and security analysts to foster a culture of agility and innovation.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in technology risk, IT controls, IT audit, cybersecurity risk, or compliance.
Hands-on experience delivering full-stack GRC services including risk management, control design, continuous monitoring, and governance documentation.
Deep understanding of technical design and governance principles in domains such as infrastructure resiliency, SDLC, change management, or incident response.
Proven track record of managing and mentoring analysts while holding teams accountable to deliverables and timelines.
Experience evaluating risks and control designs to identify weaknesses and partner with stakeholders to improve risk outcomes.
Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex risk concepts into clear requirements for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency.
