What you'll do

Manage day-to-day activities of database administration staff for projects and production.
Ensure the availability, usability, and integrity of corporate databases.
Review and approve proposed changes to logical database designs and production databases.
Provide technical support and data management guidance to project teams and business users.
Assign personnel to projects, direct their activities, and conduct performance reviews.
Develop and manage the annual departmental operating budget in accordance with accounting guidelines.
Prepare monthly status reports on departmental objectives and corporate project deliverables.
Maintain a skills inventory to assign tasks that achieve project goals and staff growth.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Experience in database and data administration.
3+ years of experience managing all areas of a database group.
Broad knowledge of SQL databases including DB2, Sybase, Informix, SQL Server, EDB, and Postgres SQL.
In-depth knowledge of how a database department fits into the development lifecycle.
Experience with multiple database management system technologies across two or more operating systems.
Excellent understanding of database design and documentation tools.
Experience with Microsoft Office desktop tools (Project, Word, Excel).
Excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, strong judgment, and management skills.
Cloud certification (preferred).
