Manager, Data Center Infrastructure joins the Technical Facility Planning & Engineering department to manage mission-critical infrastructure supporting IT, production, broadcast, and transmission systems. This role involves designing and installing cabling systems, rack systems, and AV and TV equipment across data centers, studios, and office spaces. You will develop detailed infrastructure plans, including rack elevations and bills of materials, while managing the full lifecycle of large network projects from conceptual development to final documentation. Key responsibilities include coordinating with engineering teams, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring high-quality workmanship standards for copper and fiber optic pathways. The role requires expertise in structured cabling systems and project management within 24/7 facilities. Candidates should possess a degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering and may utilize AutoCAD skills to support the technical requirements of these complex infrastructure projects.
Design and install cabling systems and IT, AV, and TV equipment in data centers and office spaces.
Develop scalable copper and fiber optic pathways, rack systems, and infrastructure plans for various production environments.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, installation plans, and Bills of Materials for all project components.
Manage the full lifecycle of network infrastructure projects including budget tracking, scheduling, and final documentation.
Oversee subcontractor performance by preparing scopes of work and reviewing deliverables for quality and compliance.
Research and evaluate new products to maintain a Standard Materials List for facility consistency.
Write Methods of Procedure (MOP) for performing work on live systems.
Monitor and coordinate Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) while maintaining accurate configuration management records.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, or an equivalent combination of skills, training, certification, and experience.
Full lifecycle project management experience for structured cabling infrastructures in commercial offices and mission-critical facilities.
Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of rack and structured cabling systems in data center environments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide clear reports and presentations.
BICSI Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
