The role requires a JD and experience in regulatory compliance or trade law to manage hardware provenance, component authenticity protocols, and supply chain risk management for complex defense technology systems.

What you'll do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex master procurement agreements, vendor flow-down matrices, and specialized compliance addenda.
  • Advise on supplier vetting, due diligence processes, and the verification of supplier certifications and representations.
  • Provide guidance to supply chain teams regarding counterfeit part prevention and trusted supplier programs.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR and DFARS regulations concerning supply chain management and contractual flowdowns.
  • Establish standard operating procedures and automated controls for mandatory contract requirements and supplier certifications.
  • Advise engineering and sourcing teams on hardware provenance, component authenticity, and traceability protocols.
  • Collaborate with the trade compliance team to ensure adherence to export controls and sanctions.
  • Monitor defense procurement policies and national security directives to create actionable operational guidelines.

What we're looking for

  • JD degree from a top-tier accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer focusing on regulatory compliance, supply chain, trade, or commercial law.
  • At least 2 years of experience with FAR/DFARS supply chain compliance and certifications.
  • Strong understanding of the legal aspects of supply chain management.
  • Ability to provide clear risk analyses and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
