The ideal candidate possesses a Juris Doctor and experience in cybersecurity, cybercrime, enforcement, commercial litigation, or technology-related issues. Key competencies include translating complex technical problems into practical advice, managing high-stakes matters under pressure, and navigating novel legal challenges without clear precedent. Preferred expertise includes government prosecution of fraud, working with law enforcement, and managing disclosure obligations.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a strategic legal advisor on cybersecurity risks, programs, technologies, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the legal response to cybersecurity incidents, including advising on strategy, obligations, and communications.
  • Develop legal strategies to investigate, disrupt, and pursue bad actors targeting DoorDash and its partners.
  • Create programmatic enforcement strategies to protect customers, merchants, and internal business operations.
  • Translate complex legal and technical issues into practical advice for the company.
  • Manage high-stakes matters and make decisions in fast-moving situations with imperfect information.

What we're looking for

  • Must hold a Juris Doctor degree.
  • Must have 5–7+ years of legal experience.
  • Must be authorized to practice law in the U.S. state where located.
  • Experience with cybersecurity, cybercrime, enforcement, commercial litigation, or related technology issues is required.
  • Ability to translate complex legal and technical issues into practical advice for business partners.
  • Proven ability to lead high-stakes matters and make decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving situations.
  • Preferred experience as a prosecutor or government attorney handling cybercrime or fraud investigations.
  • Preferred experience working with law enforcement on complex investigations or pursuing actions against bad actors.
