TL;DR · Lead Systems Engineering, Space Vehicle Bus Integration & Test

Lead, Systems Engineering - Space Vehicle Bus Integration & Test serves as a technical lead providing integration and test leadership for Moog buses. The role involves coordinating bus and TT&C suppliers, directing environmental verification test readiness, and managing the integration of requirements, interfaces, and anomaly resolution across development and production lifecycles. Key responsibilities include overseeing electrical power, attitude control, TT&C, C&DH, and other bus-to-payload interfaces while maintaining traceability for hardware development programs. The position requires expertise in space-vehicle bus systems engineering, requirement flowdown, and root-cause corrective actions. Candidates should possess skills in DOORS, RVTM, SysML, or model-based systems engineering to manage complex interfaces. This role addresses the technical challenges of integrating space vehicle hardware components into a cohesive system while ensuring all verification evidence is closed during the transition from first-unit build to production.

What you'll do

  • Lead space vehicle bus integration and testing across power, attitude control, TT&C, and C&DH systems.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for bus and TT&C suppliers to manage requirements and resolve interface issues.
  • Coordinate environmental verification test readiness, including procedures, data disposition, and closure of verification evidence.
  • Maintain traceability for requirements, interfaces, and verifications while assessing impacts of changes across all systems.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of anomalies, nonconformances, and technical risks through root-cause analysis.
  • Manage the transition of bus capabilities from first-unit build through development test and production.
  • Communicate technical status, risks, and recovery plans to program leadership and customers.
  • Mentor engineers in disciplined integration and test execution.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience, a graduate degree and 7 years of experience, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in space-vehicle bus systems engineering, integration, and test including technical ownership of subsystem and system interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of SV bus subsystems such as electrical power, attitude control, TT&C, C&DH, structures, thermal, and avionics.
  • Experience with requirements development, interface management, verification planning, and test readiness in a hardware development program.
  • Experience leading or coordinating suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams through technical decisions and anomaly resolution.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access as required.
  • U.S. citizens.
