Lead Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead a team of Systems Engineers in the development and roll-down of system requirements across the product.
• Ensure subsystem requirements, interfaces, and verification plans align with overall mission and program objectives.
• Drive system-level integration across engineering disciplines to deliver a cohesive and executable product definition.
• Oversee interface definition, requirements traceability, and verification planning for all systems and subsystems.
• Create System DFMEAs and participate in Fault Tree Analysis to identify and mitigate risk drivers.
• Collaborate on the V&V plan across mechanical, electrical, and controls domains to ensure system validation.
• Manage the integration and resolution of technical issues throughout the full development cycle.
• Implement AI-enabled tools and training to improve the quality and traceability of requirements management.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a BSE or BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Requires 10+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, requirements development, product integration, or equivalent technical roles.
• Requires 5+ years of systems engineering experience within the defense industry for complex systems.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
• Must have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and integrated vehicle systems.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in requirements development, interface alignment, and technical issue resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to execute System DFMEA, participate in Fault Tree Analysis, and manage verification/validation planning.
• Ability to utilize AI-enabled tools for requirements management while building team capability through training.
