TL;DR · Lead System Specialist, Email Platform & Consent Infrastructure

Lead System Specialist - Email Platform & Consent Infrastructure joins the Messaging Platform team to manage the operational lifecycle of consent infrastructure, compliance enforcement, and audience data systems. This role focuses on running, scaling, and optimizing a next-generation email platform built natively on Salesforce Data Cloud while ensuring high availability for global marketing communications. Key responsibilities include driving the operational roadmap for interconnected systems, managing global platform configurations, overseeing incident response for reliability events, and translating complex technical architecture into scalable workflows for engineering and legal stakeholders. The candidate will manage preference centers, oversee suppression strategies, and build support frameworks for internal users. Required expertise includes experience in platform operations, technical program management, or systems engineering, specifically involving high-volume messaging systems, data modeling, identity resolution, and navigating the complexities of multi-market compliance and consent flows within enterprise marketing technology environments.

What you'll do

  • Drive the operational roadmap and execution for email infrastructure, consent management, and analytics pipelines.
  • Translate complex technical architecture into scalable operational workflows for engineering, compliance, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Manage global platform configurations to ensure system stability and compliance across multiple regions.
  • Lead incident response and resolution for high-pressure, compliance-driven platform reliability events.
  • Automate legal and compliance requirements into enforcement cycles to mitigate multi-market risk.
  • Manage and evolve the preference center to accommodate new products and content options.
  • Oversee global suppression strategies including data extension logic and frequency governance.
  • Build and manage platform intake operations, triage frameworks, and self-serve documentation for internal users.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in platform operations, technical program management, or systems engineering.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence within enterprise marketing technology or high-volume messaging systems.
  • Expertise in managing cross-functional delivery while navigating technical and legal dependencies for compliant system performance.
  • Ability to untangle complex systems including consent flows, suppression logic, and multi-org data dependencies.
  • Experience owning end-to-end support operations or triage functions for a shared internal platform.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Engagement or comparable enterprise email platforms (preferred).
  • Experience navigating M&A data and consent integration across legal, engineering, and operations teams (preferred).
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and identifying data quality issues at the model level (preferred).
