As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - React / C++ / Rust within the Markets Org, you will join an agile team to build and deliver stable, scalable market-leading technology products. Your daily work involves driving roadmap decisions for C++, Rust, and WebAssembly integration with Apache Arrow, while evolving the Sigma platform using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Zustand, and the Salt Design System. You will develop a suite of TypeScript adapters for various protocols like HTTP, Hydra, AMPS, KDB, and WebSocket to stream data into Perspective Tables. Key technical requirements include expertise in the React ecosystem, component-driven development with Storybook and Jest, and experience with high-performance browser-based analytics in financial services.

What you'll do

Drive roadmap decisions for the C++/Rust to WebAssembly engine and Apache Arrow integration.
Architect and evolve the Sigma platform using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Zustand state management.
Develop and extend a suite of TypeScript data adapters to stream internal API data into Perspective Tables.
Perform WebAssembly performance tuning and ensure efficient data serialization via Apache Arrow.
Write, review, and debug high-quality production code across various technical areas.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies across the organization.

What we're looking for

At least 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript with deep experience in the React ecosystem.
Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks like Next.js, webpack, and esbuild.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Experience with component-driven development and testing workflows using Storybook, Jest, and Cypress.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
