What you'll do

Design and develop creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Write, review, and debug high-quality production code while ensuring security and stability.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, testing, and refactoring.
Establish validation standards for AI outputs including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across software engineering.
Utilize SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve delivery speed and code quality.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Strong experience with Python, Django, JavaScript, and SQL.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on safe adoption.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD pipelines, Application Resiliency, and Security.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Practical cloud native experience; infrastructure-as-code or performance tuning (preferred).
