As a Lead Software Engineer - Public Cloud & AI within the Global Technology team, you will guide application teams through public cloud migrations while maintaining and troubleshooting production incidents for global customers. Additionally, you will leverage AI and LLM tools to enable self-service for diagnosing infrastructure failures while managing system metrics through CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Datadog to optimize high-performing public cloud environments.

What you'll do

Guide application teams through the transition and migration to public cloud environments.
Manage and maintain a broad range of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and EKS.
Resolve production incidents and improve system reliability and time to resolution.
Automate routine tasks and optimize system performance using programming languages like Python or Java.
Execute game days, resiliency tests, and chaos engineering exercises to evaluate production readiness.
Write Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
Monitor system metrics and program health to proactively identify and clear technical blockers.
Ensure applications meet strict non-functional requirements for public cloud onboarding.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Deep understanding of business technology drivers regarding architecture design, performance, monitoring, and best practices.
Experience building or supporting web environments on AWS using services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3.
Experience using DevOps tools such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Maven.
Experience across the SDLC process including design, development, and support.
Experience with monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.
Experience writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Experience with automation of infrastructure tasks using Python or other languages; knowledge of AI/LLM tools for self-service diagnosis (preferred).
