Cloud Infrastructure Engineer III

What you'll do

• Deliver on a strategy to operate and manage various AWS utility computing services.
• Improve the resiliency, security, and performance of platforms using corporate best practices.
• Resolve production incidents and reduce time to resolve issues for software applications.
• Measure and optimize system performance to meet customer needs and drive innovation.
• Provide primary engineering support and automate routine tasks for the public cloud platform.
• Ensure applications meet strict non-functional requirements during the public cloud onboarding process.
• Evaluate production readiness through game days, resiliency tests, and chaos engineering exercises.
• Monitor metrics and program health to anticipate and clear technical blockers.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience building or supporting web environments on AWS, including services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3.
• Experience using DevOps tools in a cloud environment such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Maven.
• Experience across the SDLC process, including design, development, and support.
• Knowledge of monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.
• Experience writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with one or more public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience automating infrastructure tasks using Python or other programming languages.
• Knowledge of leveraging AI/LLM tools to enable self-service for diagnosing infrastructure errors.
• A proactive approach to spotting problems and performance bottlenecks (preferred).
• SRE mindset and culture to create engineering solutions to operational problems (preferred).
