As a Lead Software Engineer - Private Cloud within the Atlas On Premise & Next Generation Infrastructure Team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. The role requires proficiency in Java, GoLang, or equivalent modern languages, alongside expertise in DevOps, SRE principles, and cloud infrastructure. You will navigate the full Software Development Life Cycle using CI/CD and automation tools while managing complex requirements for secure, scalable systems within a private or public cloud context.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Write secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by others.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
Utilize SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve the value of software operations.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in coding with Java, GoLang, or equivalent modern programming languages.
Experience with DevOps and SRE principles.
Strong experience in Private or Public cloud environments.
Good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and API.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
