Lead Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer

What you'll do

• Build and operate cloud and infrastructure capabilities for production workloads on AWS.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code in Java and/or Golang.
• Review and debug code written by other team members.
• Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality and delivery.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve the value realized by automation.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced experience with Java and/or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Experience with scripting and working in a Linux/UNIX environment.
• Experience working with AI agents/copilots for engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Experience with networking control points such as firewalls, security groups, ingress/egress controllers (preferred).
• Experience with automation testing including integration, regression, performance, and smoke testing (preferred).
• Experience leveraging Terraform to define, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure (preferred).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, motivated self-starter who can work independently (preferred).
