As a Lead Software Engineer within the Credit Risk Technology organization, you will join an agile team dedicated to building and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting creative software solutions while leading the modernization of the credit risk technology stack. Your daily work involves writing high-quality production code, reviewing peer code, and automating the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability. You will lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and lead communities of practice. Required skills include advanced proficiency in Java or Python, knowledge of Databricks, and relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server. You must also possess experience in system design and the software development life cycle.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Lead the modernization and upgrade of the Credit Risk technology stack using industry best practices.
Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for others.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Lead communities of practice to drive the adoption of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in Java or Python.
Strong knowledge of relational databases/ Transact SQL (Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server).
Strong Knowledge of Databricks.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Databricks, Snowflake) (preferred).
Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau/Business Objects/ThoughtSpot) (preferred).
