What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Write secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Utilize Software Development Life Cycle tools and automation to improve operational outcomes.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve software stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in Java and Python.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
Experience with Databricks.
Experience in Web/API development including RESTful services, Angular JS, and EXT JS.
Experience in RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Experience with AWS and Snowflake (preferred).
Familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop, S3, and Dremio data lake (preferred).
Knowledge of business intelligence platforms like Tableau, Business Objects, and MIDAS (preferred).
Experience in Kafka messaging (preferred).
