What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions for complex technical problems.
Write secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging peer contributions.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery speed and quality.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, automated testing, and pattern reuse.
Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Implement advanced automation capabilities within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in Java and Python.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
Experience with Databricks.
Experience in Web/API development including RESTful services, Angular JS, and EXT JS.
Experience in RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI practices.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Experience with AWS and Snowflake (preferred).
Familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop, S3, and Dremio (preferred).
Knowledge of business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or Business Objects (preferred).
Experience in Kafka messaging (preferred).
