Lead Software Engineering - Java/Python - AI joins the Corporate Sector Technology team to build and deliver secure, scalable, and stable market-leading products. As a core technical contributor, you will architect resilient microservices, manage multiple deliverables in high-pressure environments, and mentor developers while collaborating with stakeholders like DBAs and system administrators. You will develop ML pipelines for fraud detection and risk assessment, productionize models from data scientists, and build agentic AI services to automate engineering workflows. The role requires expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Python, Linux, Kubernetes, and REST APIs. You will utilize tools like Kafka, MQ, ELK, or Splunk while managing infrastructure patterns such as load balancing and autoscaling. Key technical focus areas include MLOps, feature-store patterns, and implementing guardrails for agentic AI within a distributed systems architecture.
Architect and implement resilient, scalable, and low-latency microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Build and mature ML pipelines for fraud detection and risk assessment in production environments.
Develop agentic AI services to automate and enhance engineering and model-ops workflows.
Design and own reusable ML platform components including feature stores and delivery pipelines.
Implement guardrails and evaluation approaches for agentic AI regarding safety, latency, and cost.
Manage multiple deliverables and mentor the development team in a high-pressure environment.
Ensure all services meet enterprise requirements for security, performance, scalability, and auditability.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
10+ years of hands-on software development experience in large-scale distributed systems, primarily Java/J2EE and modern Java/Spring Boot microservices.
3+ years of experience developing in Linux environments.
Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring output correctness, performance, and security.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Expertise in REST APIs, microservices architecture, Kubernetes orchestration, and messaging platforms like Kafka or MQ.
Experience with backend infrastructure patterns, log analytics tools, and AI/ML platform operations (MLOps).
Strong communication skills, SDLC knowledge, agentic AI experience, and NoSQL database experience (preferred).
