  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability.
  • Implement DevOps and SRE practices including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and incident response.
  • Design and operate APIs using REST and event-driven patterns for scalable system integration.
  • Coach engineers on the safe and compliant use of AI tools while ensuring data security and performance.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of experience in Java.
  • Proficiency in programming languages with strong hands-on experience using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience building frontend applications using React and TypeScript, including work with design systems and component libraries.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, release management, and operational readiness.
  • Practical experience applying SRE and reliability engineering practices such as observability, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience designing and operating APIs and integration patterns, including REST and event-driven patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance standards.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
  • Practical cloud-native experience with containers, orchestration, and managed services (preferred).
  • Familiarity with distributed systems patterns like resilience, idempotency, rate limiting, and caching (preferred).
  • Familiarity implementing security controls in the SDLC such as threat modeling and secrets management (preferred).
