As a Lead Software Engineer - Analytics & Feedback Platforms within the Employee Platforms team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions while ensuring high-quality production code is secure and scalable. Your daily responsibilities include driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed, conducting peer reviews, and leading evaluation sessions with external vendors regarding architectural designs. You will work extensively with Java, JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, JUnit, and Behavior-Driven Development. The role focuses on building cloud-native microservices and distributed architectures within the financial services industry. You must navigate complex regulatory environments while utilizing CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and robust security practices to solve technical problems across various business functions.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions for complex technical problems.
Write secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code from other team members.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards including secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Implement automation capabilities within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to increase operational value.
What we're looking for
Formal training, certification, or equivalent experience in Software Engineering with 5+ years of applied experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise software solutions.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, deployment, and operational support of scalable and resilient applications.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages to develop high-quality, maintainable, and secure code.
Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring output quality, security, and performance standards.
Strong understanding of Responsible AI practices within engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and compliance with enterprise standards.
Proficiency in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and advanced understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices.
Experience developing and supporting technology solutions within the financial services industry or other highly regulated environments.
Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications using Java, JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, JUnit, and BDD practices.
