What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Write secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by others.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technology applicability.
Lead communities of practice to drive adoption of leading-edge technologies across software engineering.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized, AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, and testing.
Utilize SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to increase the value realized through automated processes.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with eight or more years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in programming languages and tools including Java, Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, MQ, Cassandra, Oracle, Spark, and others.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including continuous integration, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated proficiency in cloud-native technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes.
Experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized, AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring safety and compliance.
Experience with distributed platforms, open-source libraries, behavior-driven development, and client relationship skills (preferred).
