As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack | AI Development, you will join an agile team within Asset Management to build and deliver secure, scalable, and market-leading technology products. You will utilize Java, Python, Hibernate, Spring JPA, and AWS Postgres to build scalable Rest APIs and GraphQL services. Your role requires managing cloud-native AWS environments while ensuring responsible AI use and data security. You will serve as a subject matter expert, solving complex design problems and establishing validation standards for automated testing and incident analysis within the software development life cycle.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, technical teams, and external contractors.
Drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through key architectural decisions.
Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in specific technical areas of focus.
Advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices within the engineering community.
Apply cloud-native and database best practices to build scalable REST APIs and global services.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, specifically Java and Python.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Practical cloud native experience with AWS.
Experience with Hibernate, Spring JPA, and AWS Postgres database design best practices.
Experience building scalable Rest APIs and knowledge of GraphQL.
Knowledge and experience using Kafka, including Avro design and schema registry (preferred).
