Required technical skills include proficiency in Python, C#, .NET, Go, or Java, along with Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks. You must also possess experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and expertise in designing robust, scalable systems and infrastructure.

What you'll do

Directly manage and mentor a team of software engineers.
Own the delivery and support of the Build Reliability software roadmap.
Design and develop software to streamline manufacturing quality control and product traceability.
Optimize rocket and spacecraft reusability across the Falcon, Dragon, and Starship programs.
Manage the complete software life-cycle including development, testing, and support.
Track application usage and implement new features to improve software performance.
Engage with other engineers to identify needs and translate them into reliable software solutions.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another engineering discipline and 5+ years of professional software development experience.
7+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
Experience mentoring and growing employees (preferred).
Experience as an architect designing and implementing robust, scalable systems with flexible UIs (preferred).
Experience with Python, C#, .NET, Go, Java, Angular, React, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server (preferred).
