As a Lead Software Engineer, Application Software (Manufacturing), you will join the application software team to lead a group of engineers in both technical and personnel development. You will own the system roadmap, prioritizing and delivering highly reliable software systems that support rapid build and reuse of Starship and next-generation manufacturing software for high-throughput Starlink factories. What you'll do

Directly manage and provide personnel development for a team of software engineers.
Own all aspects of the system roadmap, including prioritization, implementation, and delivery.

Manage and track multiple priorities while maintaining focus on common project goals.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science with 3+ years of software development experience.
6+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
1+ years of experience with object-oriented programming.
1+ years of experience with leading software teams or projects.
Programming experience in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Java, or similar object-oriented languages (preferred).
Front-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks (preferred).
Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
