JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer, Cloud ERP (Finance)
As a Lead Software Engineer within the Digital Enterprise Technology IT Finance Engineering team, you will provide technical leadership to guide software engineers in enhancing finance operations through AI and automation. You will architect, design, and deliver scalable solutions for Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and complex enterprise integrations. Your daily work involves translating business requirements into technical designs, mentoring engineers through code reviews, and governing integrations with platforms like Salesforce, RevRec, Vertex, and MuleSoft. You will utilize Workday technical frameworks including Prism Analytics, Studio, and Workday Extend, alongside REST/SOAP APIs and SOA patterns. This role solves critical enterprise finance problems by ensuring the scalability, security, and maintainability of high-performing financial applications and middleware across the organization.
Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable solutions for Workday Financials and Accounting Center.
Design and govern Workday Financial solutions including integrations with Salesforce, MuleSoft, and banking platforms.
Translate complex business and finance requirements into robust technical designs aligned with enterprise principles.
Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
Drive the adoption of emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and automation tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end enterprise finance solutions.
Anticipate future technical needs to evolve frameworks and tools for organizational growth.
What we're looking for
10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience.
Experience with Workday Financials/Accounting Center or comparable Oracle/SAP ERP platforms in complex, integration-heavy environments.
Proven track record of technical leadership in architecture and solution design for large-scale enterprise systems.
Deep expertise in Workday technical frameworks including Business Processes, Security, Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, Core Connectors, EIB, Studio, Workday Extend, Orchestrate, BIRT, and Document Transformation.
Hands-on experience designing and delivering ERP integrations with platforms like Salesforce, RevPro, Vertex, and banking systems using APIs, Connectors, and middleware.
Strong understanding of integration frameworks, API design, SOA patterns, and web services (REST, SOAP).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps, and AI/ML automation tools (preferred).
