Lead Software Engineer, Cloud

What you'll do

• Develop, review, and debug secure, high-quality production code while ensuring it meets firm standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of platform services and infrastructure with a focus on reliability.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability across systems.
• Lead design reviews and architecture discussions to evaluate solutions and strengthen technical quality.
• Mentor and coach engineers through technical guidance and the adoption of leading-edge technologies.
• Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve the value realized by automation.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management platforms, role-based access control, or entitlement governance at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages or platforms such as Java, Spring, Go, Python, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Practical cloud-native experience building and operating services on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
