Lead Software Engineer, UAT, Payments

What you'll do

• Lead and supervise the daily activities, task allocation, and issue resolution for a dedicated test team.
• Develop end-to-end test strategies including requirements planning for test data, environments, defect management, and automation.
• Facilitate daily Scrum calls and represent the program in delivery working group meetings to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Author and execute test scenarios using Business Driven Development methodologies such as Gherkin.
• Monitor and report on testing defects while validating and presenting results for internal sign-off.
• Conduct knowledge audits to identify and bridge skill gaps across the team to ensure transferable UAT capabilities.
• Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, refactoring, and automated test creation.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline testing processes and increase project efficiency.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining Cucumber, Gherkin, Java, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Functional knowledge of the Payments domain and experience in testing processes to define requirements and document user stories.
• Experience with automated testing and test automation tools for efficient end-to-end execution.
• Strong organizational skills to manage critical tasks under tight deadlines and provide structured problem-solving for complex issues.
• Very strong communication skills to provide clear verbal updates to team members, senior leads, and executives.
• Experience in Business Driven Development or Test Driven Development methodologies (preferred).
• Relevant testing experience within the Financial Services industry in a high-volume environment (preferred).
