JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer - Android Lead
As an Android Software Engineer III within Consumer & Community Banking, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, troubleshooting complex technical problems, and producing architecture artifacts for production code. Your daily work involves building native mobile applications using Kotlin and managing CI/CD pipelines. You will leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools for code generation, refactoring, and unit test creation while ensuring security and performance. Key technical skills include experience with MVVM, MVP, and MVC patterns, alongside tools like Android Studio, Robolectric, Mockito, Espresso, RxJava, Dagger, and Retrofit. You will also integrate RESTful web services and maintain high coding hygiene across diverse data sets to improve system architecture.
Develop and execute high-quality production code and algorithms for secure, scalable mobile applications.
Design architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring all design constraints are met.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate, refactor, and test code while validating outputs for security.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate workflows within the software development life cycle.
Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams building native mobile applications.
Integrate RESTful web services and manage source control using Git.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to code, test, troubleshoot, and document.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Combined software/application development experience with a focus on mobile development.
Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring diverse engineering teams building native mobile applications.
Strong Android development experience, including building mobile applications using Kotlin.
Working knowledge of common architectural patterns, including MVVM, MVP, and MVC.
Experience with modern native mobile development tools and frameworks, including Git, Xcode, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, CoreData, Android Studio, Robolectric, Mockito, Espresso, RxJava, Dagger, and Retrofit.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in Agile development environments, including daily scrums and iteration reviews/planning.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
Familiarity with mobile performance optimization, device-based testing, and common mobile platform constraints (preferred).
Working knowledge of multiple programming languages, such as Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, Java, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, and Python (preferred).
Experience with Git source control management (preferred).
Experience consuming and integrating RESTful web services in mobile applications (preferred).
Strong communication skills to clarify application requirements with business partners and provide technical documentation (preferred).
