As a Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer & Community Banking Administration team, you will serve as a core technical contributor focused on building and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will design creative software solutions, develop high-quality production code, and troubleshoot complex problems while leading the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery speed and operational outcomes. Your daily work involves managing the software development life cycle, evaluating architectural designs with external vendors, and mentoring teams building native mobile applications. You will utilize a technical stack including Kotlin, Swift, Java, and Python, alongside tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, Git, Retrofit, and Dagger. The role addresses critical business functions by developing mobile applications using MVVM, MVP, or MVC patterns while integrating RESTful web services within an Agile environment.
Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Design and implement creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Mentor diverse engineering teams in building native mobile applications using Kotlin and Swift.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines within an Agile development environment.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification in Software Engineering.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and validating outputs for security and performance.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Experience in mobile application development with a focus on native mobile applications.
Strong Android development experience using Kotlin.
Proficiency with modern mobile tools like Git, Xcode, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, CoreData, Android Studio, Robolectric, Mockito, Espresso, RxJava, Dagger, and Retrofit.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working in Agile environments.
