As a Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer & Community Banking Administration team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. You are responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting secure, high-quality production code while leading the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices. Your daily work involves conducting technical solutions across various business functions, reviewing code, and identifying automation opportunities to improve operational stability. You will build native mobile applications using Kotlin and Android Studio, utilizing architectural patterns like MVVM, MVP, and MVC. Your technical toolkit includes Swift, Java, RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit, Git, Xcode, and CI/CD pipelines. You will also lead evaluations of external vendors and startups to assess architectural designs and technical credentials for integration into existing systems.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines while mentoring engineering teams on native mobile application development.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to code, test, troubleshoot, and document.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency expectations.
Combined software/application development experience with a focus on mobile development.
Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring diverse engineering teams building native mobile applications.
Strong Android development experience, including building mobile applications using Kotlin.
Working knowledge of common architectural patterns, including MVVM, MVP, and MVC.
Experience with modern native mobile development tools like Git, Xcode, Swift Package Manager, Android Studio, and RxJava.
