Lead Scrum Master
The Lead Scrum Master joins the Refining IT aligned Digital Product Delivery Services group to drive digital transformation across the refining organization. Serving as a servant leader and coach, this individual facilitates Agile events, manages project schedules, and removes impediments for multiple teams of teams. The role involves coordinating with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and external vendors to manage dependencies, conduct Program Increment planning, and ensure alignment with refining objectives. Key responsibilities include developing an Agile maturity roadmap, improving backlog health, and promoting continuous improvement through automation and new processes. Required skills include expertise in Scrum or Kanban methodologies, SDLC knowledge, risk management, data analysis, and conflict resolution. The role focuses on solving complex delivery challenges within the refining sector by fostering collaboration and ensuring teams deliver consistent value through structured Agile practices.
Establish and manage Agile practices like Scrum or Kanban for multiple complex teams to optimize development environments.
Facilitate coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders to manage dependencies and support Program Increment planning.
Partner with Product Owners to improve backlog health, conduct story mapping, and streamline dependency management.
Act as a servant leader and coach to help teams adopt Agile methodologies and deliver consistent value.
Identify and remove impediments while holding teams accountable for meeting their commitments and project goals.
Develop an Agile maturity roadmap and provide ongoing coaching to the organization on best practices.
Proactively identify risks and implement new processes, automation, or procedures to improve workflow efficiency.
Mentor Product Managers and Owners on documentation standards and Agile principles across the department.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another computer-related field.
Seven or more years of relevant Scrum Master experience.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
Strong communication skills to express ideas clearly and foster constructive dialogue.
Ability to manage change, resolve conflicts, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and risk management.
Skills in data analysis, metrics reporting, and workflow optimization.
Ability to mentor others and provide leadership to diverse work groups.
