Scrum Master (Specialist, Business Intelligence Analyst) serves as a developing professional responsible for championing and driving Scrum and Agile processes to increase team efficiency. The role involves motivating and facilitating the scrum team toward self-organization, higher quality, and ownership while ensuring all deliverables are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching delivery teams, mobilizing new teams to agile values, managing risks and dependencies, and removing impediments to ensure stories are sprint ready. You will facilitate stand-up meetings, retrospectives, release planning, and develop process metrics for real-time reporting. The role requires proficiency in agile methodologies, backlog tracking, Scrum and Kanban based metrics, and task definition. Required tools include JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Digital.ai Agility. This position operates within a technology and software development environment to help the team meet operational goals and achieve functional results.
Facilitate Agile Scrum stand-up meetings, retrospectives, sprint planning, and release planning for multiple teams.
Coach and guide delivery teams to self-organize and achieve objectives without dictating their specific work.
Remove impediments and ensure that user stories are "sprint ready" for the development team.
Proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies by identifying and escalating them as necessary.
Mobilize new teams to adopt Agile practices, values, and principles.
Develop and report process metrics for both real-time and historical presentations.
Collaborate with Product Owners and management to plan the delivery of major product changes and new features.
What we're looking for
Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master in technology or software development, or equivalent education and experience.
3 years of experience with agile methodologies, values, and procedures.
3 years of experience with agile PLM tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Digital.ai Agility.
3 years of experience with backlog tracking, Scrum/Kanban metrics, task definition, and story splitting.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Education, or a Graduate Degree (preferred).
Proven leadership skills to motivate scrum teams (preferred).
