What you'll do

Write, review, and ship production-quality Java backend code as a hands-on technical leader.
Resolve complex, high-risk, or ambiguous engineering problems on the Digital Assets Platform.
Perform rigorous code reviews to identify logic errors, security gaps, and performance bottlenecks.
Lead low-level design sessions to translate requirements into detailed class structures and API contracts.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, pair programming, and structured feedback.
Manage sprint execution by decomposing epics into scoped tasks and ensuring on-time delivery.
Champion engineering excellence by enforcing automated testing, CI/CD practices, and observability standards.
Identify and remediate technical debt and legacy issues to ensure platform reliability.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
6 to 10 years of hands-on professional software development experience in backend engineering.
Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, microservices, and REST/gRPC APIs.
Proven ability to perform high-signal code reviews for security, performance, and concurrency issues.
Strong command of low-level design (LLD) including API contracts, data models, and sequence flows.
Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers through technical guidance and peer review.
Experience in large-scale, regulated, or enterprise environments, preferably within financial services.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures.
