Senior Back-End Java Developer, Trading Platforms

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-office trading applications using SOLID principles and clean code standards.
• Implement trunk-based development, feature flags, and progressive delivery strategies for continuous integration.
• Apply TDD and BDD methodologies to ensure high unit test coverage and production reliability.
• Design and deliver distributed, event-driven microservices using messaging platforms like Kafka, Solace, and MQ.
• Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing to enhance delivery velocity.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and vulnerability assessments to enforce secure coding standards.
• Partner with DevOps teams to optimize deployment pipelines, observability tooling, and production resilience.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions to foster a culture of engineering excellence.

What we're looking for

• Strong hands-on coding proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Python for production-grade, enterprise-scale applications.
• Deep expertise in microservices architecture, Spring Boot, distributed systems, and low-latency computing.
• Proficiency in event-driven messaging systems including Kafka, Solace, Tibco, and MQ.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and cloud-native platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
• Solid experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle SQL, in high-performance transactional environments.
• Proven experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, and progressive delivery in an enterprise context.
• Strong command of TDD, BDD, and automation-first testing practices to maintain high test coverage.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design, DevOps principles, secure coding, and vulnerability assessment.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or industry equivalent experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
