JOB TITLE: Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Mainframe As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer on the Mainframe and Mid-Range Compute Site Reliability and Engineering team, you will lead technologists providing end-to-end application and infrastructure service delivery. Required skills include over ten years of experience managing IBM z-Series environments, including HMC, firmware upgrades, and replication technologies like IBM CSM and GDPS. You must possess knowledge of IMS, CICS, DB2, WebSphere, and the SSH protocol. Proficiency in ServiceNow, Python, JCL, and batch scheduling tools like CA-7, Control-M, and Zeke is also required to maintain operational stability.

What you'll do

Lead teams of technologists to provide end-to-end application and infrastructure service delivery.
Execute policies and procedures to ensure operational stability and availability of production environments.
Monitor production environments for anomalies and drive the evolution of standard observability tools.
Lead incident, problem, and change management for full-stack technology systems and infrastructure.
Administer and troubleshoot Mainframe-related components, including IBM z-Series and Hardware Management Console.
Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation.
Apply AI-assisted practices to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options for automation routines.
Facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure the permanent closure of priority incidents.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Experience operating and managing IBM z-Series environments.
Demonstrated leadership of Operational and SRE Teams in a 24X7 support environment, including all aspects of people management.
Expertise in administering z-Series and Hardware Management Console (HMC), including Firmware/Microcode upgrades.
Extensive knowledge of replication technologies such as IBM CSM and GDPS.
Working knowledge of transaction-based systems, IMS, CICS, DB2, WebSphere, and SSH protocol.
Experience managing ServiceNow workflows and ticket resolution across a global 24X7 environment.
Working knowledge of programming languages, Python, SRE principles, Batch Scheduling tools (CA-7, Control-M, Zeke), JCL, and Netcool (preferred).
