Lead Infra Engineer - PKI - Public Key Infrastructure joins the PKI Engineering team to apply deep technical expertise in infrastructure engineering. This role involves designing, developing, and troubleshooting complex systems while driving workstreams to modernize organizational processes. The engineer will focus on automating PKI processes such as certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation while ensuring the security of TLS certificates and cryptographic operations. Key responsibilities include utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, and documentation, alongside managing infrastructure projects across public and private clouds. Required skills include experience with ADCS, EJBCA, HSMs like Safenet/Gemalto, and scripting languages. The role requires expertise in hardware, networking, databases, and storage engineering to improve system performance and resilience while ensuring all automated routines remain traceable, auditable, and aligned with strict security standards.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot technical solutions for infrastructure engineering projects of moderate complexity.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate infrastructure analysis, code generation, refactoring, and documentation.
Automate PKI processes including certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation.
Ensure the security, integrity, and performance of TLS certificates and cryptographic operations.
Architect and implement changes to modernize organizational technology processes and resolve system issues.
Evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, and compliance before implementation.
Manage infrastructure across public and private cloud environments while ensuring auditability and resilience.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Proven experience with ADCS, EJBCA, and HSMs (e.g., Safenet/Gemalto).
Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, or resilience.
Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages.
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to code, test, troubleshoot, or document while validating outputs for security and performance.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and guidance on safe usage for peers.
Experience with EJBCA and DCLM solutions such as Key Factor / Venafi (preferred).
