Lead Information Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and implement firewall infrastructure for corporate network hardware and software refresh efforts.
• Perform configuration changes on existing network devices and manage daily operational health items.
• Provide high-level technical support during on-call rotations and engage vendor support for escalated issues.
• Coordinate with business customers to confirm technical requirements for late-evening network implementations.
• Write technical procedures, guidelines, standards, and other documentation required for daily operations.
• Manage projects and coordinate large-scale efforts with network security and partner teams.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical network security issues using packet captures and protocol analysis.
• Mentor team members through training sessions and hosting calls on relevant technologies and operational issues.

What we're looking for

• Must have 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent through work, training, military service, or education.
• Must have 5+ years of information technology applications and systems experience.
• Must have 3+ years of Palo Alto Firewall or Fortigate Firewall experience.
• Must have 3+ years of experience in network security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection, and cyber threat.
• Must possess an extensive understanding of firewalls, networking, routing, and IPv4/IPv6 protocols.
• Must be able to write technical procedures, guidelines, standards, and other documentation for daily operations.
• Must have the ability to manage projects and coordinate large-scale efforts with network security and partner teams.
• Must be able to lead troubleshooting efforts for critical issues and mentor team members on relevant technologies.
