Lead Flight Test Field Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the technical planning, integration, execution, and post-event assessment of developmental UAS flight tests and field deployments.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between engineering teams, customers, end-users, and test-range personnel.
• Resolve complex system, software, and communication issues by conducting root-cause investigations and driving corrective actions.
• Define and manage field-engineering readiness plans, technical objectives, configuration baselines, and deployment risks.
• Oversee system assembly, preflight checkouts, maintenance, and the setup of ground control stations and telemetry links.
• Analyze operational test data to provide technical recommendations that influence product design and test strategies.
• Train end-users and customer support personnel on the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of UAS capabilities.
• Mentor field technicians and engineers while providing technical guidance and reviewing work products.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline with 9 years of experience.
• Graduate Degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
• Military experience or experience supporting military customers (preferred).
• Expertise with UAS and launched-effects operations, aviation fundamentals, and systems integration (preferred).
• Experience leading developmental or operational test activities in high-tempo environments (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
