As a Lead Engineer Cyber AI - Cybersecurity, you will join the Cybersecurity AI Activation and Engineering team as a technical anchor for engineering initiatives. You will create, own, and ensure that developed solutions and proof of concepts meet functional and non-functional needs. Your daily responsibilities include working with cybersecurity teams to understand existing systems, contributing to new AI-powered capabilities, and initiating research for emerging technologies. You will use Python and experience with AI, ML, and workflow automation to build highly scalable distributed systems. The role requires deep domain knowledge in security operations, incident response, threat detection, or penetration testing. You will provide thought leadership to develop consistent, scalable patterns while managing project schedules, resource requirements, and risk mitigation within the specialized cybersecurity domain.
Design, develop, and approve end-to-end functionality for products, platforms, or infrastructure.
Create and own AI-powered cybersecurity solutions and proof of concepts that meet functional requirements.
Evaluate new AI technologies for technical viability, maintainability, and cost of ownership within the company environment.
Initiate and execute research activities to develop scalable patterns and foundational machine learning capabilities.
Lead complex construction, automation, and implementation activities while ensuring architectural and operational requirements are met.
Develop project plans, schedules, resource estimates, and milestones while monitoring workflow risks.
Interface with cybersecurity teams to define requirements, workflows, and designs for security operations and threat detection.
Provide working patterns, templates, and guidance to influence data standards, policies, and procedures.
What we're looking for
4 year degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation.
Software development skills with Python and demonstrated delivery of production solutions.
Experience in one or more areas of cyber security: security operations, incident response, threat detection, application security, or penetration testing.
Experience with and passion for AI and ML solutions.
Experience with workflow and process automation.
Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems.
Demonstrated history of rapid prototyping, development, and iterative delivery with tight coordination with internal customers.
