Lead Engineer Cyber AI - Cybersecurity serves as the technical anchor for the Cybersecurity AI Activation and Engineering team. In this role, you will act as a force multiplier by creating, owning, and ensuring that developed solutions and proof of concepts meet functional requirements while providing thought leadership to promote reusable, scalable patterns. You will collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate AI-powered capabilities into existing systems, manage project lifecycles, and oversee construction, automation, and implementation activities. The role requires expertise in Python, machine learning, and workflow automation within the specialized domain of cyber threat intelligence, incident response, and threat detection. You will evaluate emerging technologies for viability and cost of ownership while developing infrastructure to support data lifecycle management and distributed systems. Essential skills include rapid prototyping, system optimization, and deep knowledge of security operations and penetration testing.
Act as the technical anchor for engineering initiatives within the Cybersecurity AI Activation and Engineering team.
Develop, own, and ensure that all proof of concepts meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Research and execute proof-of-concept activities to evaluate new technologies for viability and cost of ownership.
Build and maintain production-level software solutions using Python and other relevant frameworks.
Create scalable patterns, templates, and guidance to promote the reuse of technical components across teams.
Lead complex construction, automation, and implementation activities while ensuring architectural requirements are met.
Provide technical leadership by identifying risks, removing obstacles, and managing project timelines and resources.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate AI-powered capabilities into existing security operations and incident response workflows.
What we're looking for
A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have at least 7 years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation.
Experience in cybersecurity areas such as security operations, incident response, threat detection, application security, or penetration testing is required.
Proficiency in Python and other computer languages and frameworks is required to deliver production solutions.
Candidates must have a passion for and experience with AI and ML solutions.
Experience in workflow and process automation is required.
Experience building highly scalable distributed systems is required.
Demonstrated ability to perform rapid prototyping, development, and iterative delivery with internal customers.
