JOB TITLE: Lead Engineer Cyber AI
As a Lead Engineer on the Cybersecurity AI Activation and Engineering team, you will serve as a technical anchor for engineering initiatives. You are responsible for creating, owning, and ensuring that developed solutions and proof of concepts meet functional and non-functional needs. Your daily work involves collaborating with cybersecurity teams to understand existing systems and operational processes while contributing to new AI-powered capabilities. You will evaluate emerging technologies, initiate research, and execute proof-of-concept activities to solve problems in security operations, incident response, threat detection, and cyber threat intelligence. You must utilize Python for production solutions, with preferred experience in Java, Kotlin, and React. You will also build highly scalable distributed systems and develop consistent, scalable patterns to foster data lifecycle management and workflow automation.
Design, develop, and approve end-to-end functionality for AI-powered cybersecurity products and infrastructure.
Lead research and execute proof-of-concept activities for emerging AI and machine learning technologies.
Evaluate new technologies for technical viability, maintainability, and cost of ownership within the corporate environment.
Develop production-ready software solutions using Python and other relevant frameworks to automate security workflows.
Provide technical guidance and thought leadership to establish consistent, scalable patterns across cross-functional teams.
Manage project lifecycles by defining milestones, estimating resource requirements, and monitoring workflow risks.
Interface with cybersecurity teams to translate operational processes into technical requirements and designs.
Monitor and optimize system capacity, performance, and operational health for distributed systems.
What we're looking for
4 year degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation.
Demonstrated software development skills with Python and delivery of production solutions.
Experience in one or more areas of cyber security: security operations, incident response, threat detection, application security, or penetration testing.
Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems.
Experience with workflow and process automation.
Experience with Java / Kotlin and React (preferred).
