TL;DR · Lead Director, IMS Program Transformation

The Lead Director, IMS Program Transformation provides accountable leadership to transform managed service programs from broad, large-scale provider models into a focused portfolio of specialized, outcome-based engagements. Initially focusing on Infrastructure Managed Services, this role involves defining and executing transformation roadmaps across governance, service tower assessment, sourcing, vendor strategy, operating model redesign, workforce planning, and AI and automation enablement. The candidate will partner with the Technology Performance Team to align business outcomes, financial performance, and risk management while establishing a repeatable model for selecting and governing boutique partners. Key responsibilities include managing multi-year strategies, leading complex service transitions, and developing fact-based vendor strategies. Required skills include expertise in vendor management, strategic sourcing, infrastructure operations, and executive communication. The role addresses the challenge of transitioning large-scale managed services into specialized ecosystems while maintaining operational stability and security.

What you'll do

  • Lead the multi-year strategy, roadmap, and governance model for transforming managed service programs into outcome-based engagements.
  • Transition large-scale provider arrangements into a focused ecosystem of specialized partners and tailored technology services.
  • Assess service towers to determine future-state delivery models based on performance, automation opportunities, and transition readiness.
  • Develop fact-based vendor and sourcing strategies that evaluate partner specialization, risk, and long-term economic flexibility.
  • Define clear scopes, service levels, and accountability mechanisms for all partner engagements and contract negotiations.
  • Design governance structures to ensure clear service ownership, transparent decision rights, and disciplined performance management.
  • Execute complex service transitions while maintaining operational stability, regulatory compliance, and security standards.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI, automation, and modern engineering practices to increase productivity and service resilience.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, supplier governance, or large-scale managed service delivery.
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex technology service transformations, managed service transitions, supplier changes, or operating model redesign within a large enterprise.
  • 10+ years of experience defining and managing outcome-based service agreements, performance measures, governance routines, financial commitments, and executive escalations.
  • 7+ years of understanding of infrastructure and technology operations, including service management, operational risk, resilience, and cross-tower dependencies.
  • 7+ years of experience with the ability to influence and align senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority.
  • 7+ years of experience building business cases and using financial, operational, and service performance data to guide decisions and measure realized value.
  • 7+ years of experience with executive communication, negotiation, program leadership, problem-solving, and organizational change management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, supply chain, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; advanced degree or certification preferred.
