What you'll do

Lead the estimation, planning, and execution of the complete firmware development lifecycle.
Develop FPGA VHDL code for Microchip, Xilinx, Altera, and other platforms.
Create top-level test benches to simulate and verify design architecture.
Design and develop image and video processing algorithms and protocols.
Translate complex system requirements into detailed firmware requirements.
Design, document, and review firmware architecture with peers and stakeholders.
Develop and document hardware and software interfaces.
Lead post-design support and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of relevant experience, a Graduate Degree and 7 years of experience, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
9+ years of firmware development experience.
8+ years of proven track record of successful advanced digital designs using VHDL (preferred) or Verilog.
Direct experience interfacing with microcontrollers and/or knowledge of embedded processor implementations.
Expert in digital FPGA design, preferably with video and image processing experience (preferred).
Experience with high-speed data communication (preferred).
Experience with OrCAD, PSpice, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent CAD/CAE tools (preferred).
Security clearance.
