What you'll do

Lead the estimation, planning, and execution of firmware design and development projects.
Develop FPGA VHDL code for Microchip, Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), and other platforms.
Create top-level test benches to simulate and verify design architecture.
Design and develop image and video processing algorithms and protocols.
Translate system requirements into specific firmware requirements and documentation.
Design and document hardware and software interfaces for complex systems.
Lead post-design support and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of experience, Graduate Degree and 7 years of experience, or no degree and 13 years of experience are required.
At least 9 years of firmware development experience is required.
Experience with VHDL (preferred) or Verilog with at least 8 years of proven track record in advanced digital designs is required.
Direct experience interfacing with microcontrollers or knowledge of embedded processor implementations is required.
Expertise in digital FPGA design, preferably with video and image processing experience, is preferred.
Experience with high-speed data communication, OrCAD, PSpice, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent tools is preferred.
Proficiency with Git, Jira, Jenkins, DevSecOps tool chains, and DOORS Requirements Management is preferred.
Security clearance.
