The Lead Data Engineer joins the Risk Tech team to build and deploy proprietary risk management solutions powered by state-of-the-art AI technology. Working within the GRC team, you will design, develop, test, and support full-stack technical solutions in an Agile environment. Your daily responsibilities include collaborating with developers to build distributed microservices, performing unit tests, and conducting code reviews to ensure high performance. You will utilize programming languages including Java, Scala, and Python alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases. The role requires expertise in cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake, as well as distributed computing tools such as Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop. You will solve complex business problems by creating data-driven tools that use machine learning to automatically detect risks.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
