Lead Data Engineer As a Lead Data Engineer, you will join an agile team to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions within a full-stack development environment. You will collaborate with developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems to build robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for customers. Your daily work involves performing unit tests and conducting code reviews to ensure high performance and elegant design. The role requires proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and SQL, alongside experience with Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases like Mongo or Cassandra, and cloud warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake. You will also utilize distributed computing tools including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, and Spark while working within a Linux environment to solve complex problems in the financial technology space.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Build robust cloud-based data solutions using Redshift, Snowflake, or other cloud warehousing services.
Develop applications using programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python.
Manage distributed microservices and large-scale big data systems.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure performance and high-quality design.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on emerging technologies.
Implement real-time data processing and streaming applications.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools, real-time streaming, NoSQL implementation, and data warehousing (preferred).
4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
