What you'll do

  • Design and develop scalable, resilient hybrid cloud-based solutions for financial risk management.
  • Lead requirement analysis to identify missing details and validate assumptions in system models.
  • Architect and develop next-generation clearing applications within an Agile framework.
  • Perform high-standard code reviews and write unit/integration tests using DevOps frameworks.
  • Conduct application and project risk analyses to recommend quality improvements.
  • Provide technical advice and fixes for production support issues.
  • Mentor developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven strategies.
  • Assist with departmental training and onboarding of new employees.

What we're looking for

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience building large scale, compute and event-driven solutions is required.
  • Experience with Java 8+ including internal workings is required.
  • Experience developing software using Object Oriented Designs, advanced patterns like AOP, and multi-threading is required.
  • Experience following Git workflows is required.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and migrations; AWS foundational services experience is preferred.
  • Experience with distributed message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience with high speed distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Flink, etc.) is a plus.
