Lead AI Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and deploy enterprise-scale AI applications and LLM-powered systems with production-grade security and scalability.
• Build AI agents and autonomous systems using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and CrewAI.
• Develop and operate MCP servers to integrate AI agents with enterprise data sources.
• Implement advanced LLM techniques including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Architect and manage vector database solutions for semantic search and knowledge retrieval.
• Administer the enterprise LLM gateway platform to manage model routing, access controls, and observability.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AI engineers while conducting code reviews and setting technical standards.
• Partner with business units and clinical research teams to translate AI opportunities into scalable technical solutions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• 7–10 years of progressive software and AI engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical lead or senior individual contributor role.
• Expert-level Python development skills, including production REST API development with FastAPI.
• Proven experience building AI Agents, MCP Servers, and LLM-powered applications using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Strands, or CrewAI.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases (Milvus DB preferred) for RAG and semantic search pipelines.
• Experience administering LLM API gateway platforms, including model routing, observability, access governance, and multi-model orchestration.
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty.
