As an AI Engineer, Lead, you will join the team to design, develop, test, and deploy applications that integrate artificial intelligence, automation, and modern cloud technologies for national security. You will own features end-to-end, translating evolving requirements into practical technical solutions while establishing reusable development patterns. Your daily work involves building production-ready software using Python, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java. You will utilize agentic frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Bedrock Agents, or CrewAI to build AI applications. The role requires expertise in containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes, as well as CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins. Technical skills include developing APIs, event-driven systems, and implementing patterns like retrieval-augmented generation and tool use. You will navigate complex requirements to solve operational problems within regulated federal or Department of Defense environments.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
8+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying production software applications.
Experience in Python development and with Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.
Experience building production AI applications using agentic frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Bedrock Agents, or CrewAI.
Experience owning application features end to end, including requirements clarification, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
Experience with professional development practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerized applications in cloud environments.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
Experience implementing AI patterns (RAG, tool use), using Infrastructure-as-Code, or working in regulated environments (preferred).
