Java Technical Lead

What you'll do

• Design and develop technical solutions for new software development and enhancement efforts.
• Lead the specification and software design phases of the software development life cycle.
• Coordinate coding, unit testing, and code reviews for system development.
• Ensure all technical initiatives align with the platform architecture and business roadmap.
• Communicate project status, technical updates, and recommended action plans to stakeholders.
• Coordinate delivery timelines, quality metrics, and timeliness for the development team.
• Coach, mentor, and delegate work to lower-level professionals.
• Participate actively in hands-on code development.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree Required.
• 5 years of experience in IT Software Development required; 7 years preferred.
• 3 or more years of hands-on programming experience in Java and Spring framework in production environments.
• 3 or more years of experience building microservices and restful APIs using Java on AWS or containerized workloads.
• Experience with relational or no-sql database technologies including Oracle or MongoDB.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of developers to deliver high quality, scalable applications to production.
• Ability to research emerging technologies and lead proof of concept initiatives (preferred).
• Ability to partner with business stakeholders to align on goals, timelines, and solution roadmaps (preferred).
