As a Java Software Engineer III within the Fraud Prevention Technology group, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, developing high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms, and creating architecture and design artifacts for complex applications. Your daily work involves troubleshooting technical problems, analyzing large datasets to improve system architecture, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools for tasks like refactoring and unit test creation. The role requires hands-on experience with core Java, AWS services, and database querying languages within a large corporate environment. You will apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD, and application resiliency to solve technical problems while ensuring all outputs meet strict security standards and performance requirements in a fraud prevention context.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronized algorithms.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI tools for code generation, refactoring, and unit test creation.
Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and security standards.
Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring code meets specific design constraints.
Analyze large datasets to create visualizations and reports for system improvements.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability with core Java and AWS.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using core Java and database querying languages in an AWS environment.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, troubleshoot, and refine outputs for correctness and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (preferred) and exposure to cloud technologies (preferred).
