As a Java or Python AWS Software Engineer II within the Asset & Wealth Management - System of Record for Wealth Management Data Team, you will join an agile team focused on designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable software components. You will execute technical solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple system components while managing complex data sets to inform decision-making. Your daily work involves writing high-quality code using Java or Python, utilizing database querying languages, and working with relational databases or NoSQL systems. You will leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for refactoring and testing while ensuring security standards are met. The role requires experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD and application resiliency. Additionally, you may utilize AWS services and React to build robust products within a large corporate environment.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot software components for stable and scalable systems.
Write secure, high-quality code using Java or Python with limited guidance.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI tools to improve code quality, refactoring, and unit test creation.
Validate all AI-generated outputs through peer review and automated testing standards.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to identify problems and inform development decisions.
Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle including CI/CD and application resiliency.
Address technical implications for both upstream and downstream systems during development.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using Java or Python and database querying languages.
Familiarity with relational databases.
Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to critically evaluate and validate outputs.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling, and security expectations.
Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security; NoSQL databases (preferred); LLMs (preferred); React (preferred).
