What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Design and implement creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software applications and systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Utilize SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to increase the value realized by engineering workflows.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Strong experience in Java Full Stack (React or Angular) and AWS.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows including data sensitivity and security.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Leadership experience with various levels of Software Engineers (preferred); Python or mortgage industry technology experience (preferred).
